1Do Not Feed This To Your Dog!  Oct 23, 2012 By Christina C. Muir
Unfortunately I did not read the ingredients closely before purchasing this product. Now I am going to have to throw it away.

It contains BHT - a preservative which should never be fed to dogs. It is a carcinogenic toxin, has been proven to cause cancerous tumors, and has been banned in many countries.
BHT can also be found in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, rubber, jet fuels, petroleum products, the oil in electrical transformers, and embalming fluid.

Additional note:
Do not feed your pets anything with any artificial ingredients - this will save you money in the long run on vet bills and most importantly - save you heartache.
Look for foods and products with Vitamin E as a preservative. Go to your local small privately-owned pet food HEALTH store and talk to the employees about how you can improve the quality and longevity of your pet's life through nutrition and supplements.
By purchasing larger bags of pet food, you will save money. These foods always have less filler too so you will feed you dog a lot less of it. The cost will be less or the same as supermarket junk.

Sorry, Excel, but you should switch to all-natural preservatives for our beloved dogs.

5Cured Dry Skin Problems!!  Jun 12, 2011 By Fly By Night
Been using Excel Nutricoat for 9 months for our 11 year old Minature Schnauzer. He's always had problems with rough, dry, crusty skin patches on the inside of his thighs and itchy dry ears. After a month of a teaspoon a day on his food, his dry skin is now soft and supple. His ears are soft and no longer bother him. Before trying this, we used expensive prescription ear drops and creams --- no more! He loves the chocolatey flavor and licks up every drop! Will continue to use this for the rest of his life. A mere teaspoon a day is a small price to pay for this little guy's wellbeing and comfort. If we can see the great changes on the outside of his body, just think what it's doing for the inside!!!

5Really Works!  Oct 09, 2012 By sunnymargie
I bought this first for my Shibu mix who would shed all the time. It works really well for her. No more handfuls of fur every time you pet her. Then we got a Lab puppy who was having itching problems. Started her on this product and within 2 days she was better too. I think this supplement is amazing and never want to be without it again. (my vet also recommends this)

5Easily the best!  Mar 10, 2015 By Kasey Montague
This product has saved my dog's skin and fur... After trying almost every high quality food on the market(he has been on a high quality of some sort since I got him at 8 weeks), I still couldn't get him to stop chewing his back end, resulting in bald spots and sometimes irritated skin. I have a miniature Australian Shepherd that will be 11 in June. He has always, always had a big, beautiful coat until about a year and a half ago. All of a sudden he just couldn't stop chewing at his paws and back end ( mostly just above his tail/butt). I tried everything- oatmeal baths(homemade), fish oil, many different sprays, emu oil.... Some helped but no overall difference, until a friend recommended this product. In days, his chewing was almost non-existent and after a month or so he completely regained the growth of his hair. He was literally bald from his mid back to his tail, it was awful! I have continued to supplement him with this product and will continue to do so for as long as he lives. I do not give it to him daily anymore ( I think he may have gained a little unwanted weight) but he still gets it a couple of times a week, a squirt or two on his food. He has the biggest, fluffiest, longest coat he has ever had!

5Nutricoat for dogs with extreme skin/dandruff conditions  Nov 16, 2014 By RoseKurt
I've been purchasing Excel Nutricoat for my dog for several years now. My Bull Terrier is unfortunate enough to have quite a skin condition to the extent that he develops hives to most dog shampoos, and has extreme dandruff at the change of the seasons. When he was younger, we tried several different supplemental solutions for his dog food; we landed on Excel Nutricoat for several reasons: My dog seems to love it, and will gladly eat his food with a nice splash of the Nutricoat on it; it is quite affordable for the amount that you get in a 32-ounce bottle; and it works very well! If there is ever a time period where we neglect to give our dog the Nutricoat, one can easily tell that his coat looses its luster and he begins to develop a higher level of dandruff.

I would highly recommend anyone to give this a try on a dog who's coat has lost its luster, or if the dog has a skin condition such as my dog does.
